This long Mineral King Loop is essentially loop 1, but with a long extension on the northern side that takes in Kaweah Gap and some of the scenic High Sierra Trail. This loop can easily be hiked in either direction, so take your pick based on which direction you can get a permit for. Both are first come first served and cost $12 per night. 12 miles to Hockett Meadow.
